cost of rebirth
a quick note to self
“Covered by the dust of defeat — or so the conquer believed…there is nothing that can be hidden from the mind. Nothing that memory cannot reach or touch or call back.
Memory is a weapon.”
Don Mattera
An Incantation
Closing a door.
Walking
Walking until the light from the door starts to fade. You stand alone in darkness
It gets real quiet. But your heart pounds in a rhythm. And so you walk until the rhythm becomes familiar. Eventually it shines a light from within. And a path appears. To a new door.
One that requires strength to keep trying. Even if you can’t grip the door handle. Keep trying — because your heart lead you here. And your heart is a part of the universe. And the universe is carefully designed. Whatever you do keep going. Keep sitting, keep resting, keep holding on. Keep going.
No one ever tells you the cost of rebirth.
