Trusting Yourself
an exercise
I’ve been thinking about setting up systems of success for myself where I am thriving and in a state of effortlessness.
I realize that in order to thrive I must honor my capacity and needs. I can’t just say ‘yes’ to everything. But if I can’t say ‘yes” to everything, then how can I trust when the ‘no’s’ are necessary? How can I move without feeling guilt or regret?
The short answer is trust hehe.
I’m writing today to offer an exercise that is designed to call in self trust!
Through answering these set of questions/journal prompts that I created below, you can build a set of unique affirmations that ignite, acknowledge and expand self trust.
Here we go:
What does self trust look and feel like?
What do I lose when I don’t trust myself? What do I gain?
What are some ways that I’ve demonstrated self trust before?
What’s one simple thing I can do to cultivate trust with the universe right now?
Here are some affirmations/spells that I unearthed from answering the questions:
I am exactly where I need to be.
I trust that I can learn from my environment.
I trust my body and the signals it gives me.
I create moments for myself to be present and patient when I need help.
I hope you get a chance to sit with these questions and call in all that you deserve!

PS I watched “In Search of Bengali Harlem” last night it was EXCELLENT. I wish there was a genre of films/books called “ancestral healing” because I would watch everything in it. I love hearing stories about people going inward and then finding a whole community and space for home in their hearts. LOVE. Made me think about how there are so many stories that are yet to be written.
PSS the images photos I took on 35MM when I traveled in 2019 to Puerto Rico.
PSSS If you stopped me on the street and asked me what I’m listening to, it would most likely be THIS or THISS or THISSS hehe
